How are Taskers vetted?
Every Tasker submits a valid Rwandan national ID, provides two references we contact by phone, and is evaluated on their skills before they are approved. Clients rate every completed job, and ratings are public.
How do I pay — can I use MoMo?
Yes. You can pay via MTN MoMo or Airtel Money. Cash is accepted on your first booking. Payment is held and released to the Tasker only after the job is completed and you approve.
What happens if my Tasker cancels or does not show up?
You will not be charged. Contact us on WhatsApp and we will reassign the booking to another verified Tasker in your neighborhood as quickly as possible.
Is my home safe with a GikoTasks Tasker?
Every Tasker is ID-verified, reference-checked, and rated by real clients. If anything goes wrong, dispute resolution is built into the platform and every booking is logged with before/after photos where applicable.
Can I request the same Tasker for future bookings?
Yes. Once you have booked a Tasker, you can find them in your history and book them directly — no need to search again.
What if I am not satisfied with the job?
Flag the booking from the app. We pause the payment, open a dispute, and work with you and the Tasker to reach a fair resolution — including refunds when warranted.
How do I cancel a booking?
Cancel from the booking page in the app up until the Tasker is on the way. If you cancel after that, a small cancellation fee may apply to compensate the Tasker for their time and travel.
Do you cover my neighborhood?
We are live in Kimihurura, Kacyiru, and Nyarutarama, and onboarding Taskers in Remera, Kiyovu, Nyamirambo and beyond. If your area is not live yet, register and we will notify you the moment a Tasker is available.
